As Valtunk's successors in turn are listed dukes Pribislav, Semika, Stojmir and Etgar. In the heat of germanisation in 1907 historian Robert Eisler in his book ''The legend of Saint Caranthanian Duke Domitian'' as first argues, that Domitian did not live and that he would also only invention of Benedictines monks of Millstatt's monastery from the 12th century. They let the legend used for the conversion of the pagan Slavic population to Christianity. With him they agreed many Austrian historians; later turn argue that Domitian really lived and that the legend of the man or the emergence Millstatt monastery based on true events.
